This part!

"Why do you think the federal government (and mainstream media) is making an example of Luigi Mangione when school shooters aren’t given the same perp walks and treatment?

Because murdered CEOs matter more than murdered children."

I hope the people in the back heard you. When ole boy got shot, I said to myself, "Why weren't these people enraged about all the DENIED medical claims/authorizations from UHC that resulted in many dying and many others dying as the years pile on?!" The world in which we live is a bizarre one, indeed--makes my heart extremely sad.

Really interesting article. I read the NYT report and then have only paid attention sporadically. Top celebrities express their power through wealth, image and their personal brands. I guess it’s no surprise they will guard their power with ferocity. Thanks for this and your openness.

Let's see. A movie based on a book about abusive relationships. Staring a rising actor and an actress known for being temperamental? (and that's being generous) I've been in and around that scene for 40 years, both locally and in Hollywood. The old William Goldman line, "nobody knows nothing," applies to this story as well, except in the case of Ms. Lively.

I still have a few friends in the biz and they tell me she isn't exactly the most likeable person on the set. Lewis Black, who was in her first movie 20+ years ago "Accepted" has told anyone who'll listen that she's bad news. Her husband, Ryan, is the exact opposite. Everyone loves working with him.

Baldoni obviously brought the receipts and transcripts. But there are people who can attest to her behavior from 'Gossip Girl' and other shows. The list is long.

The lesson to be learned from this is that all relationships are abusive. Most people never refute those allegations, except Baldoni seems to be the rare exception to the rule.

And I'm so glad he's sticking up for himself with the receipts. If I were innocent, I wouldn't shut up about defending myself and clearing my name. I just saw the revised filing today from Baldoni's attorney with even more evidence. I can't wait for this to go to court so everything comes out in the open and the guilty party--whomever it may be--will get their just due.

It'll never get that far. They'll be a 'settlement,' they'll be a monetary exchange, attorney fees, the whole business. Both sides will claim 'vindication.' We'll never know the truth, because the truth will be obfuscated by redacted court transcripts. Business as usual.
